It was a very successful meeting with the following officers elected: President: Padraig Farrell. Vice Presidents: Joe Doyle, Brian Judge, Michael Donoghue, Pat Cronly, Joe Regan, Harry Doyle, Sean Malone, Johnny O’Callaghan. Chairperson: Stephen Swords. Vice Chairperson : Joe Jacob. Secretary: Annette Coyne. Asst. Secretary: Aoife Corley. Treasurer: Sean Malone. Asst. Treasurer: Michael McCormack. PRO: Jemma McCabe. Children’s Welfare Officer: Ger Keane. Pitch Coordinator: Eamonn (Red) Moran. Committee: John Smith, Barry Jacob, Paud Malone, Johnny O’Callaghan, Morgan O’Callaghan, Tony Moore, Mark McCarthy, Eamonn Moran and Harry Doyle. Bingo held every Wed in Allenwood GFC at 8.30pm. All Welcome. Well done to all the participants who took part in the Scór Na nÓg Leinster final on Sunday in Ballymore, Co. Westmeath. Sadly they came away without any silverware but have done themselves proud on reaching this far in the competition. BALLYTEAGUE GFC The Club needs your old used clothes. Fundraising clothes recycling drive will take place from Tuesday 24th Jan to Thurs 26th Jan. Please place all unwanted ladies, gents and children’s clothing, bed linen, curtains, shoes, bags into black plastic bags and bring them to the Clubhouse between 10am to 12 noon and 7 to 8 pm on these dates. Contact Marie at 086 3626995. Membership is now due, player €50, single member €30, couple €50, student €20, OAP €20, juvenile €10. Family membership also available. Early bird draw for all memberships paid up before 28th Feb. Registration night for all members including children on Tues 6th Feb, 7.30 to 8.30 in the Clubhouse. Club Social on St. Patrick’s night in the Clubhouse with presentation of the annual club awards and re-uniting the Junior B panel, winners of the championship in 1962, 50 years ago. Table Quiz on Friday 3rd Feb at 8.30 in the Travellers Rest. All support welcome. NA FIANNA LADIES UNDERAGE AGM on Monday, 23rd Jan in Ballyteague GFC at 8pm. New members welcome. MILLTOWN GFC Congratulations to Alan Dignam on his appointment as manager for 2012. We all wish him well in his new role and hope he brings success back to the club. The Awards Night will be held on 18th February in the Milltown Inn with entertainment being provided by the ‘Tops of the Parish’ winning team. Tickets available from any Committee member. Hell and Back: We are seeking participants and sponsors for a winter 10k run in Bray on January 29th. Participants will need to raise €80 in sponsorship. Further details on the club website and Facebook page. Club History: We are still seeking photos and memorabilia for the club history, which will be published next year. Contact any Committee member if you think you have something we may be interested in. All items will be returned promptly. Lotto: Please help your club by supporting our Parish/Club Lotto. Tickets are available from David's shop in Milltown, John Murphy & Noel Dunne in the clubhouse each Monday night 8pm or any committee member. ROBERTSTOWN GFC AGM will be held on Saturday 28th January at 8pm in the clubhouse. Senior training is being held on Monday Wednesday and Friday. Robertstown ladies group is recommencing next Wednesday at 11am in Robertstown Holiday Village. |
