€3,726 for Breast Cancer Ireland Sunday 21st August in Robertstown may have been an unpredictable day in terms of weather, but the generosity of people in the area is always a certainty. The Family Fun day organised in Robertstown GAA, in association with Robertstown Supporters of Breast Cancer Ireland, was a huge success. A special word of thanks goes to Professor Arnie Hill from Breast Cancer Ireland who took time out from a family holiday to lend his support. Such a successful day can only happen with the assistance of volunteers. A huge thank you goes to those who gave of their time on the day, erected tents and signs, donated equipment, baked for the cake sale, donated to the bric-a-brac and made financial donations to the charity, or helped in any small way. Robertstown GAA must also be acknowledged for the use of their facilities and their help and support leading up to the day, and on the day itself. Many local businesses also contributed products and vouchers for the raffle to be used as prizes during the day. Photos from the day and a full list of sponsors is available on the Robertstown Family Fun Day Facebook page. Breast Cancer Ireland and the Family Fun Day team thank you all for your generosity. |
